"For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

These words, spoken by Jesus to his disciples, reveal a core challenge facing any devoted follower of Christ. Are you willing to deepen your commitment to Christ by investing your life to serve God wholeheartedly and serve others in the power of His Spirit?

This Dream Team Ministry Online Catalog is designed to provide you with a thorough review of the many ways in which you can impact the lives of others through the ministries of Shreveport Community Church. As you take some time to explore the various Dream Teams and ministry opportunities listed in this resource, please give prayerful consideration to where God would have you serve.

We have designated a starting point for those who have not served on a consistent basis in the past at SCC. We ask all men to start by serving in Parking Lot and all women to start in the Early Children Ministries areas. We ask folks to serve once a month in those positions for at least three consecutive months. After which we discuss with you the possibilities of other areas of ministry.

The biblical principles of servant leadership stress more on a persons willingness and faithfulness than that of their specific gifts and talents. Although gifts and talents are important to us, without faithfulness they would be of little use.

If you are interested in learning more about any of these ministry opportunities, please e-mail the specified contact person or complete a Dream Team Response Card found at the Connection Table. After receiving your e-mail card, a Dream Team representative from your area of expressed interest will contact you to discuss how you can serve God and others within your designated interest.
